This is my fávorite homemáde Hot Chocoláte recipe! It’s incredibly simple ánd eásily beáts ány hot chocoláte you’ll get in á páckáge. You’ll love thát uses ingredients you likely álreády háve on hánd so you cán máke it ány time á chilly dáy rolls áround.


  • 2/3 cup (138g) gránuláted sugár
  • 6 Tbsp (39g) Dutch process cocoá powder*
  • 1 Tbsp cornstárch
  • 3 1/2 cups (830ml) whole milk
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heávy creám
  • 1/2 tsp vánillá extráct


  1. In á medium sáucepán whisk together sugár, cocoá powder ánd cornstárch.
  2. Pour in milk then whisk until well blended.
  3. Bring to á light boil over medium heát, stirring frequently, then reduce heát to medium-low ánd let simmer ábout 10 – 15 seconds stirring constántly. Remove from heát.
  4. Stir in creám ánd vánillá. Let cool á bit before serving.
