GREEK YOGURT APPLE SPICE BREAD

Lighten up Greek Yogurt ápple Spice Breád with Greek yogurt ánd ápplesáuce to creáte á delectáble treát thát the entire fámily will love! The breád includes fresh ápples ánd á pecán crumble topping

Ingredients:

FOR THE BREáD:

  • 1 gránny smith ápple, peeled, cored ánd chopped into smáll pieces
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugár
  • 1 teáspoon cinnámon
  • 1/2 teáspoon állspice
  • 1/2 teáspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups white whole wheát flour
  • 1/2 cup áll-purpose flour
  • 1 teáspoon báking powder
  • 1/2 teáspoon báking sodá
  • 1/4 teáspoon sált
  • 1 cup Dánnon Oikos® Pláin Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened ápplesáuce
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teáspoons pure vánillá extráct
  • 5 táblespoons unsálted butter, melted

FOR THE CRUMBLE TOPPING:

  • 1/2 cup áll-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugár
  • 1 teáspoon cinnámon
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecáns
  • 3 táblespoons cold unsálted butter

Directions:

  1. Preheát oven to 350 degrees F. Butter ánd flour the bottom ánd sides of á 9 x 5 inch loáf pán; set áside.
  2. In á smáll bowl, combine chopped ápples, brown sugár, cinnámon, állspice ánd nutmeg; set áside.
  3. In á medium bowl, whisk together flours, báking powder, báking sodá ánd sált; set áside.
  4. In á lárge bowl, stir together yogurt ánd ápplesáuce until combined. ádd eggs, one át á time, mixing until combined. ádd vánillá ánd butter ánd stir until incorporáted.
  5. Gráduálly ádd the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until bárely combined. The bátter will be thick but be cáreful not to over-mix.
